My fave location! The food is delicious and the staff is so nice! They just got a liquor license so they have a full bar and happy hour. Highly recommend!
We decided to make a reservation for a Sunday evening after seeing some of the winter specials. We have been here several times and had good experiences. When we arrived the hostess was on the phone and there were several parties waiting. A server came out from the kitchen and began seating people in his section. This server ended up being a key part of the evening going well, as we learned. Upon sitting we noticed many tables around us sitting with menus, a telltale sign of a slow kitchen. Our server came over immediately, pouring water and telling us the specials. The table next to us who had been there before us stopped him and asked to hear the specials too. We watched as he swiftly set out multiple ice buckets and opened wine for several tables, poured waters, and recited specials. He came to grab our order and we decided to start with the mozzarella involtini. Warm bread was brought over with pesto that was a little on the watery side, but delicious nonetheless. Our appetizer arrived quickly and was pretty good. The lemon aioli didn't pair as well as I'd hoped, but it was still good. As we enjoyed our involtini, we overheard the tables around us talking to each other about how they had been there since 4:30 and 5 and hadn't received their food ( it was 6 pm). I could be wrong, but it seems as though they had a few servers open the restaurant, but not enough for how busy they became. When our server arrived ( presumably after 5) he was able to help them catch up. Our entrees arrived shortly thereafter and my stuffed pork loin Milanese was so good! The crispiest breading, juicy pork stuffed with prosciutto and cheese, topped with arugula and served with smoked mozzarella. My husband got the cacio e pepe gnocchi which he loved. If you haven't tried the gnocchi at Bistro, you're missing out. My mom got the short rib tortellini which she also thoroughly enjoyed. We opted to skip dessert this trip, but we will definitely be back, as usual. Our server was fantastic and service was never an issue for us at all.
Food was decent, had a good time. Drinks were very inconsistent. I ordered the same drink three times and all three times it came back totally different. They need to work on bartending skills for higher and cocktails. For just a beer crowd it's not a bad place.
